Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinarian, you will:
- Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions through physical examinations and laboratory tests
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, performing surgery, setting bones, and dressing wounds
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and control diseases
- Advise clients on animal feeding, housing, hygiene, breeding, and general care
- Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
- Provide veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia
- Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers (1–2 staff)
- Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, ethics, and clinic standards
- Work flexible schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime when required

Education, Experience and Language Requirement
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- Education: Degree in veterinary medicine
- Experience: 3 to less than 5 years of veterinary experience (Required)
- Certification & Licensing:
- Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Language: English (spoken and written)
Work Environment
This role involves:
- Working in a professional veterinary clinic
- Providing hands-on medical and surgical care to animals
- Managing routine and emergency cases
- Supervising support staff
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- On-site work only (remote work not available)
