Key Responsibilities
As a Family Physician, you will:
- Assess and evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
- Consult with other medical practitioners when required
- Prescribe and administer medications and medical treatments
- Provide immunizations and vaccinations
- Offer advice on preventive health care and lifestyle management
- Deliver acute and ongoing primary care services
- Act as a patient advocate
- Coordinate and manage comprehensive patient care plans
- Provide counselling and emotional support to patients and families
- Report births, deaths, and communicable diseases to authorities as required
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Education, Experience and Language Requirement
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- Education: Degree in medicine
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
- Certification:
- College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
- Licensure by provincial or territorial medical authorities
- Language: English (required)
- Asset Languages: Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi (an advantage)
