A well-established 4000-hectare mixed farming property located near Meningie in South Australia’s Riverland & Murray Mallee region is seeking a reliable and hardworking Farm Worker to assist with the daily operations of the farm.
This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on farming experience who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to both livestock and cropping operations. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting livestock management, tractor operations, and general farm maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Worker, you will:
- Assist with the daily running of a 4000-hectare mixed farming property
- Operate tractors and farm machinery (tractor operation essential)
- Operate tractor implements required for cropping and pasture management
- Drive 36m boom spray (optional but advantageous)
- Conduct sheep yard work including drafting, drenching, jetting, and marking
- Assist with cattle yard work including calf marking and vealer management
- Monitor ewes in feedlot/feedlock systems during summer
- Support lucerne seed production and pasture renovation programs
- Assist with sowing lucerne and barley for feed and hay production
- Perform fencing duties and operate post drivers (preferred experience)
- Maintain farm equipment and follow safe operating procedures

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
To qualify for this role, you should have:
Work Rights:
- Valid Australian work rights or appropriate visa (mandatory)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of farming experience (mixed farming required)
- Experience operating tractors and tractor implements (essential)
- Livestock handling experience preferred but not essential
Licences & Requirements:
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (essential)
- Agricultural chemicals licence (advantageous)
- Heavy vehicle licence (advantageous)
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical if required
Skills:
- Strong tractor operation skills

Work Environment
This role involves:
- Working on a large mixed farming property
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Livestock management (up to 4,000 ewes and 100 cows for vealers)
- Lucerne seed production and pasture management
- Monitoring feedlock systems to assist in soil erosion control
- Access to mains water and Lake Albert water piped from Meningie
