Education, Experience and Language Requirement
Gibbston Valley is looking for candidates with the following:
- Education: No formal qualification required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience (hotel, lodge, or resort preferred)
- Licence/Transport: Must have reliable transport (location is 25 mins from Queenstown CBD)
- Language: English required for communication with guests and team
Work Environment
The role involves working in:
- Guest villas, spa facilities, restaurant, and public areas
- A luxury lodge environment surrounded by vineyards and mountains
- A small, supportive, values-driven housekeeping team
Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper, you will:
- Clean and prepare guest villas, spa, restaurant, and public areas to high standards
- Collect, sort, and manage linen and laundry
- Restock amenities and guest supplies as per service guidelines
- Deliver guest requests promptly (e.g., towels, supplies)
- Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet steaming, spring cleaning)
- Maintain a calm, welcoming, and guest-focused atmosphere
