Key Responsibilities

As a Labourer, you will:

  • Assist foremen, tradesmen, and colleagues with day-to-day site tasks
  • Clean and maintain work areas, removing debris and construction waste
  • Construct walkways, patios, walls, fences, decks, posts, and similar structures
  • Dig trenches, ditches, and complete land clearing duties
  • Plant and maintain garden beds, turf, and landscaped areas
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
  • Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and manual handling
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on tools and equipment
  • Lubricate and clean machinery and tools daily
  • Operate hand tools and equipment such as chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measuring devices, hammers, drills, and more
  • Follow WHSE practices and uphold site safety standards
  • Perform additional duties as required

Education, Experience and Language Requirement

To qualify for this role, you must have:

Education:

  • Required: General construction knowledge
  • Preferred: Relevant training or landscaping/civil qualifications

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscaping, civil construction, or similar roles

Certifications:

  • Required: Current White Card NSW

Language:

  • English required for communication with supervisors, clients, and team members
