Key Responsibilities
Working as a milker your day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform milking procedures efficiently and hygienically according to farm standards
- Prepare cows for milking, including cleaning udders and checking for mastitis
- Attach and monitor milking units safely
- Monitor milk quality and report abnormalities
- Clean and sanitize milking equipment and parlors after each session
- Assist with feeding, moving, and general cow care when required
- Observe and report signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior
- Follow all farm safety, hygiene, and animal welfare policies
- Work collaboratively with the dairy farm team
