Education, Experience & Language Requirements
Jay’s Transportation Group Ltd are looking for the following in the ideal candidates:
- Education: No formal education required (High School preferred)
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of truck driving experience (preferred)
- Language: English required
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment
- On-site transportation and delivery services
- Driving long distances across regions
- Handling different types of cargo including dangerous goods
- Sitting for extended periods while operating vehicles
Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver at Jay’s Transportation Group Ltd, you will:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Provide professionalism in customer service while interacting with clients and dispatch
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Record and maintain accurate cargo information, fuel consumption, and distance travelled
- Safely tarp, secure, and ensure protection of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with safety standards
- Report accidents, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly
