Key Responsibilities

As a Farm Worker, you will:

  • Handle and monitor beef cattle, including calving, weaning, and general livestock care
  • Feed, tend, and monitor animals in feedlots and pasture systems
  • Operate and maintain tractors, combines, sprayers, and other farm machinery
  • Perform haying, tillage, and grain operations including wheat, oilseed, and forage crops
  • Prepare cattle for exhibitions and track livestock performance records
  • Maintain barns, stables, pens, and equipment
  • Apply fertilizers and manage crop inputs safely
  • Follow farm safety and biosecurity protocols
  • Assist with general ranch and farm maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements

Work Rights:

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of farming or ranching experience
  • Livestock handling and animal husbandry experience preferred
  • Experience operating farm machinery (tractors, combines, loaders, etc.)

Licences & Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to operate manual vehicles
  • Experience with agricultural chemicals is an advantage

Skills:
