Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:
- Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- Test automotive systems and components to ensure proper operation.
- Repair and replace defective automotive system components.
- Adjust, repair, or replace truck and trailer system components.
- Test and adjust repaired systems according to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair procedures.
- Estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on commercial transportation vehicles.
- Advise customers about completed repair work.
- Inform customers about future maintenance and repair requirements.
- Follow workplace safety procedures while working around heavy vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications
