Key Responsibilities

As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Test automotive systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Repair and replace defective automotive system components.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace truck and trailer system components.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems according to manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair procedures.
  • Estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on commercial transportation vehicles.
