Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the following:
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials.
- Build foundations and structural frameworks for residential and commercial projects.
- Install floor beams, lay subflooring, and construct walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Perform renovation, repair, and maintenance work on existing structures.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets quality standards and building regulations.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Work at various construction sites throughout the Calgary area.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
To qualify for the job you will need:
- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of carpentry or construction experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and measurements.
