Key Responsibilities
As a Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Plan and oversee engineering, maintenance, and repair activities across the hotel.
- Assist the Director of Engineering in managing the Engineering Department efficiently.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure smooth daily engineering operations.
- Provide leadership and support in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
- Manage engineering stores and support energy-saving initiatives.
- Supervise maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Schedule staff training programs and evaluate employee performance.
- Ensure hotel facilities and equipment meet safety and operational standards.
- Conduct regular building inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure efficient maintenance management.
- Review technical reports and daily operational logs.
- Implement maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with hotel departments regarding operational and event requirements.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
- Oversee water treatment systems and maintain water quality standards.
- Coordinate fire prevention and safety programs with the Security Department.
- Liaise with local authorities regarding engineering and compliance matters.

Skills and Requirements
Candidates should have:
- An undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in hotel engineering, building services, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief Engineer or 5 years as an Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, hydraulics, electrical systems, elevators, boilers, pumps, water treatment, and building maintenance.
- Experience managing hotel facilities, fire protection systems, and energy conservation programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Good understanding of government regulations, safety standards, and technical compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in English communication.
