Key Responsibilities
As a Dairy Assistant, you will:
- Perform milking duties while maintaining high milk quality standards
- Support animal health programmes and animal welfare practices
- Assist with stock management and animal husbandry
- Operate farm vehicles including side-by-side and 2-wheeler bikes
- Carry out general farm and equipment maintenance
- Maintain accurate records related to milk quality and animal health
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with the wider dairy team
- Help maintain cleanliness and efficiency across farm operations
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
Education:
No formal qualification required; Primary ITO training opportunities available
Experience:
Previous dairy farming experience is beneficial but not essential
Skills:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Sound stock handling abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
