Key Responsibilities
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the following:
- Operate straight trucks or tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
- Load and unload cargo when required.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Inspect tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, and other equipment before travel.
- Monitor the overall condition of the vehicle and report maintenance issues.
- Receive and relay transportation information to the central dispatch team.
- Maintain accurate driver logbooks and trip documentation.
- Record cargo details, fuel consumption, distance travelled, and hours of service.
- Follow all provincial and federal transportation regulations.
- Deliver shipments safely and on time while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly throughout each trip.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment while following company safety procedures.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Previous truck driving experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 1 or Class A driver’s licence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of driver logbooks, trip reports, and maintenance reports.
- Experience operating tractor-trailer trucks is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to road safety.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage long-distance travel.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, nights, and overtime when required.
