Key Responsibilities
As a Safety Officer, you will:
- Implement and monitor HSE policies across oil and gas operations and site activities
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with Qatar energy sector regulations and HSE standards
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness training
- Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems to ensure safe work practices
- Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and prepare safety reports
- Coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors, and client representatives
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture across all operations
- Ensure all activities comply with workplace safety and environmental regulations

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
To qualify, you need the following:
Education:
- Any Graduation
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Qatar as a Safety Officer in Oil & Gas projects (Mandatory)
Certifications:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Mandatory
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and risk management practices
- Familiarity with PTW systems and industry safety standards
- Knowledge of Qatar Labour Law and oil & gas safety procedures
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Leadership and team coordination abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
Work will be done:
- At oil and gas project sites in Qatar
